Helena has such a natural, effortless beauty. We had talked about getting a hair and makeup artist for this session my intuition told me it was unnecessary. Sometimes all you need is gorgeous sunlight, a simple lingerie set and some confidence! Boudoir sessions can always feel a little awkward but once it gets rolling, it's not as hard as you'd think! I kind of treat it like a sleepover, I put some music on, have some drinks and snacks and start to gossip a little to break the ice. I love bonding with my clients, and as personal as weddings can be, there's nothing more intimate than a boudoir session.
The light in the hotel room was so luscious. The end of day warm sunlight streaming through the large windows onto the bed was just perfect. It made my job so much easier to be able to just use what the hotel room provided me with, mixed with a little bit of bounced flash. The Pavillion Grand Hotel was a great location and I will shoot there every time I have a boudoir session in Saratoga!
Every boudoir session comes with a gorgeous 20 page flatly album, handmade in Italy with refined materials that are guaranteed to preserve unaltered through the years. Every page is designed by me and can fit up to 4 images per layout. Pictured here is Helena's album, and it is stunning! I just know her Samuel is going to love it! We went with a very clean and simple layout - not too busy or cluttered with designs.
