A wedding at a farmers market? I'm SO in! One of my favorite pastimes is going to the market and supporting the locals! I had never been to the Ithaca farmers market prior to Caitlyn and Brian's wedding so I wasn't sure what to expect. I did some google research though and was immediately excited! Such a beautiful and unique venue!
Luckily the rain stayed away and the ceremony was held by the dock behind the market. The clouds parted and sun came shining through just as the ceremony started!
Look at these cuties!
Caitlyn's bouquet was from Take Your Pick Flower Farm, a garden in Ithaca where you are welcome to pick your own flowers. Isn't that such a fun concept for a bridal bouquet?! After the ceremony, we started their portraits on the dock. The sun was glaring off the lake which was tricky for me to capture, but created gorgeous light!
After the dock, we moved to the market pavilion. I'm a sucker for string lights! They create such a whimsical atmosphere. Mixed with the warmth of the wooden structure, these photos quickly became some of my favorites I've ever taken.
The reception space was a dream! In the center of where the market takes place on weekends, farm stands and artisan booths were exchanged for wedding decor. Large paper lanterns hung above the tables and chairs while sunlight peaked through the pavilion.
Congratulations Caitlyn and Brian! Thank you for choosing to capture your beautiful day!
