It's here! Wedding season is here! I could not have asked for a better couple to kick off my 2018 season! Cassie and Ben are two of the nicest and funniest people I've had the pleasure of working with. When we first started talking about the wedding they had booked with another venue - fast forward to a few months before their day when they found out said venue's construction wouldn't be done in time for the wedding! Talk about panic mode! Thankfully they found Traditions and everything for their day was beautiful! The day started at the Embassy Suites in East Syracuse, which is very unique! The room's had beautiful natural light which is so important for great portraits. Right off the bat we learned that Ben and his groomsmen we're going to be fun to work with! From inappropriate jokes to driving golf carts poorly, they had Becca and I laughing all day! Shortly after capturing the guys, we headed to Cassie's room which was energetic and chaotic (in the best way). We captured her lovely details and then took some portraits of her before she got into her stunning wedding dress! One of my favorite parts of the day is right after the dress is on and you can see the bride thinking "omg... this is so real now" - it's so exciting! Over at Traditions at the Links, things were being setup for the wedding and when we arrived everything already looked amazing! We were able to capture the reception room and ceremony setup with no guests around. Cassie arrived and we setup her and Ben's First Look. It was very sweet and their excitement for their day to begin was clear! We jumped right into some portraits of them, which Traditions had a plethora of beautiful backdrops for. We continued into bridal party portraits and jumped on the golf carts provided by the Links and headed over to a suspended bridge on their golf course. Let me tell you, this bridal party was so hilarious! The best part was they knew when to be serious and when to crack jokes - which led to great photos! Right before the ceremony, Cassie's mom pulled me aside and asked if I could come capture a surprise they had planned. Cassie didn't think her cousin who is in the military was going to be able to make it - but he did! I teared up a little at her reaction! Such a sweet moment! Everyone took their seats at the pergola and the ceremony began. It was quick and sweet, and the newlyweds were greeted with lots of bubbles during their processional - as Ben skipped down the aisle hand in hand with his new bride. The party began quickly after a few more photos outside. Hilarious toasts, great food, lots of dancing... and Ben's Saturday Night Fever impression! Overall it was a beautiful day and I'm so honored Cassie and Bed chose me to capture their memories!
Cassie, you are absolutely gorgeous and you were a perfect bride!
