Pet Memorial Photography
After losing my own beloved cat to cancer, I came to understand that the photographs we take at the end are unlike any others. They become the last record of a familiar gaze, the curve of a sleeping body, the whiskers you've kissed a thousand times, and the quiet language shared between you and the soul who has walked beside you.
Pet memorial sessions are not about saying goodbye. They are about honoring a life that was deeply loved. They are slow, gentle, and filled with grace, preserving the little things that time so often steals first. When the house grows quieter, these images become a place to return to, carrying the warmth of a love that never truly leaves 🐾
Our girl Fleur
Fleur had the bluest eyes, the tiniest paws, and the gentlest soul. She was our constant companion, our quiet comfort, and a reminder that the deepest love is often spoken without words. Losing her made me realize just how precious the photographs we have of our pets truly are. They become more than memories; they become a way to hold onto the little pieces of them we never want to forget. We were so lucky to have been hers.
If you're considering in-home euthanasia, I cannot recommend Stillwater Veterinary Care enough. They gave Fleur the love-filled goodbye she deserved, and I'll always be grateful for the compassion they showed our family during such a heartbreaking day.
